Praise. Hell. Satan

Neglect or mere laziness would explain my recent lack of posting on this page. However, a short thought recently crossed my mind that I feel the need to express, despite this being one of countless repeats.

Slayer, for all intents and purposes, still rules. A lot.

There is nothing particularly unique or groundbreaking about their new album World Painted Blood. It basically sounds like Hell Awaits and Divine Intervention with occasional hints of South Of Heaven. Even then, it basically just sounds like Slayer. A sound that millions have tried and only Slayer has mastered. There's no point to reviewing the album. It sounds like Slayer. Slayer sounds like the 9th ring of Hell which, to me, means that they are still as amazing to me now as they were when I was a 13-year old nerd skateboarding a launch ramp in my alley and experiencing Reign In Blood for the first time. They've been my favorite band since 1989. That will never change.
