Going Rogue (Because…Why Not?)

In case anyone has or has not noticed, this is my first post in awhile. There are numerous reasons that are both typical and atypical of me. What originally was meant to be a place for me to rant about and/or praise certain things that lie outside of personal gripes, my thoughts lately are revolving heavily around the personal. Things I don't find entertaining, enjoyable or good at all. Things I really don't want to, nor do I enjoy talking about. In short, 2009 has been a colossal disappointment and it comes off the heels of a 2008 that was anything but good. I'll leave it at that.

For 2010 and beyond, one of my goals is to get back to posting here more often. Preferably about fun stuff like music, movies, video games, graphic novels/comic books and occasional ranting about the nonsense of life. Despite it being nothing more than a meaningless calendar flip, I'm trying to reboot the small nugget of optimism that (I assume) is somewhere inside of me for the upcoming year. Right now, everything remains speculative, but I'm trying.

For the short term, I will be posting my annual Best Of lists, probably sometime during my sabbatical from my least favorite place on Earth. Maybe it will be the reboot I am looking for right now. Until then, back to sighing and waiting…
