Chainsaws & Slumber Parties

Somewhere between Tarantino, Miike and darkly comedic quirky anime is what I saw in "2LDK". After plodding through Argento's "Phantom" mess, this little Japanese indie swoops in and exceeds my expectations across the board.

In short, 2LDK is a cavalcade of jealousy, violence, hilariosity, chainsaws, swords, food items and thrash metal amidst a petty rivalry between two pretty girls. It's witty, quirky violent fun.
